From Miami’s own crypto coin to Microsoft announcing a regional hub in the area, Miami’s tech scene has been making headlines for several years now, presenting opportunities for local tech lawyers. But is the trend another fad or is it here to stay?

With tech layoffs accelerating and an economic downturn predicted to be around the corner, some tech lawyers are still optimistic the industry will stay in South Florida. Part of the consideration is the region’s already present tech backbone, but other aspects such as the region’s proximity to Latin America and tax incentives generate optimism that the industry is in it for the long haul.
