As the field of class action and complex litigation continues to develop, the University of Miami Law Class Action & Complex Litigation Forum is introducing a new two-day format while tackling the latest hot-button topics, including cryptocurrency and blockchain-related litigation, bankruptcy in mass torts, and international class actions. With an expanded roster of nationally noted speakers, including federal judges from around the country, highly regarded academics, and leading plaintiffs and defense practitioners from, this year's content-rich agenda is expected to take the annual forum to new levels.

The forum is expanding from one day to two, beginning on Jan. 26, with a timely panel on cryptocurrency and blockchain-related litigation, and continuing Jan. 27 with similarly relevant panels on bankruptcy in mass torts, international class actions, and a nuts-and-bolts panel on pleading, certifying and defending national classes. Additionally, there will be an "all judges" panel, moderated by Judge Eduardo Robreno from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, titled "Everything you Wanted to Know about Multidistrict Litigation but Were Afraid to Ask," featuring Chief Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer from the Northern District of Illinois, Judge David Proctor from the Northern District of Alabama, Judge Michael Hanzman from the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, and Judge Amy St. Eve from the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Other judges who have agreed to appear on various panels are Judge Patti Saris from the District of Massachusetts, Judge Brendan Shannon from the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, and Judge Roy Altman from the Southern District of Florida.
