A Fort Lauderdale attorney who has carved out a niche practice in criminal law is batting a thousand on wins, including Wednesday’s Fourth District Court of Appeal ruling in favor of his most recent client after another lawyer’s self-confessed mistake.

And the lawyer who made the error that led to the reversal is owning up to it after he neglected to tell his client about the possibility of facing additional prison time for being a repeat offender.
