Cybersecurity threats are on the rise and attacks are getting more complex, prompting the Florida Bar to set up a committee meant to educate lawyers on best practices to avoid an attack.

In 2021, the legal and insurance industries were subject to 636 computer intrusions in an average week, according to data from IT security firm Check Point. That number rose to 957 in 2022.
