Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed Kevin Tynan, a former school board member and long-time ethics attorney, and Catalina Avalos, a county court judge and former director at the law firm Tripp Scott, to fill two vacancies on the Broward Circuit Court bench.

As far as what attorneys should know before entering their courtrooms, Avalos pointed to professionalism while Tynan highlighted preparation.
