What are some of your most significant achievements of the past year?

Despite global economic turbulence and a high-rate interest environment, GT's South Florida real estate team had an outstanding year in 2023, advising on major transactions statewide and nationally. Among the team's biggest achievements, GT represented Swire Properties in connection with real estate and hospitality matters for One Island Drive, an iconic Mandarin Oriental hotel and branded-residences project on Miami's Brickell Key. We continue to advise on all legal aspects associated with the project's development. A longtime leader in Florida's condo financing market, GT helped a diverse group of clients obtain over $2 billion in construction loans for major projects statewide, including one transaction worth $670 million. We also assisted with construction loans of $430 million for the Shore Club redevelopment in South Beach, $277 million for Aman Miami Beach, $252 million for 400 Central Residences in St. Petersburg, $240 million for Selene Residences in Fort Lauderdale, $240 million for Casa Bella in Miami, and $159 million for Casamar in Pompano Beach. Additionally, GT guided Redwood CP Dev LLC through a complex ground-lease transaction with the City of North Miami, facilitating the development of a $750 million mixed-use project in an area that historically has not seen significant private investment.
