Law practice is often a team endeavor. What has been your experience with teamwork in the law?

I would submit that there is no aspect of the legal practice that is not a team endeavor. It is a rare instance in which I have provided legal advice that has not benefitted from collaboration with other colleagues in my office or practice, or benefitted from the administrative support of other staff in our firm. And legal advice is not given in a vacuum. The best advocates work in close partnership with their clients to understand their issues and to implement solutions together. Finally, even making complex arguments in the most adversarial of litigation practices to judges should, itself, be considered a team sport. In those instances, advocates can be thought of as working together to get the Court to the right place.
