The former top lawyer for the Florida Department of Transportation, who admitted to forging the signatures of other agency staffers on official state documents without their consent, accepted a consent judgment with the state’s disciplinary board.

The bad news for Erik Fenniman, 45, ex-general counsel for the FDOT, largely began when the agency’s inspector general released a report in June 2020 that focused on the respondent’s execution of letters dated in March 2020, on which he signed the names of his subordinate employees.
