Pro bono attorneys who align themselves with legal aid organizations enable these nonprofits to provide critical legal services to our lower-economic neighbors. They bridge the gap between those who can afford legal services and those who cannot, which couldn’t be more important in today’s society. I have seen these organizations in action firsthand as the board chair of Legal Aid Service of Broward County and having handled more than 350 pro bono cases.

While my expertise is in bankruptcy law, the demand for pro bono legal assistance extends into all areas of the legal world. And unfortunately, the need is far greater than the supply of attorneys willing to help.
