A state court jury in Miami returned a $1.3 million verdict, over 14 times the initial offer by the defendant’s insurer, to a driver slammed by another vehicle driving in the wrong direction.

Igor Hernandez, John Sullivan and Ira Combs of Cornish Hernandez Gonzalez in Miami, represented the plaintiff, Meri Moskowitz. The case centered around an intersection crash in which the defendant, Sein Lwin, was traveling the wrong way on a one-way street, leading to a collision that resulted in the plaintiff suffering a herniation requiring surgery.
