Attorneys at both BakerHostetler and Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath were part of the team of lawyers who helped strike a deal to redevelop the Tampa Bay Rays stadium, as work in the sports sector remains strong in the Sunshine State.

The $1.3 billion deal will provide a replacement to Tropicana Field, the current home of the Rays, while also surrounding the new stadium—which will rise just east of the existing ballpark—with a new development that includes retail, housing, commercial space and a hotel. Similar stadium development deals have been proliferating in recent years and have been a boon to lawyers operating in the sports world.
