A federal magistrate judge in the Middle District of Florida has recommended the approval of more than $424,000 in attorney fees and $15,000 in litigation expenses for the plaintiff class in a settlement their counsel obtained from BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy Services LLC.
“What’s interesting about this case is the lawyers actually lost money handling the case,” said Ed Zebersky, a partner at Zebersky Payne Shaw Lewenz, who is not involved in the case in which the plaintiff class reached a nationwide class action settlement with the defendant, BioPlus Specialty, to resolve claims arising from a data security incident.
