A Broward County attorney is facing a possible emergency suspension by the Florida Supreme Court over allegations of misuse of funds that the Florida Bar lead senior auditor called similar to a Ponzi scheme.
In the petition filed Tuesday, the bar seeks the emergency suspension of Marc Evan Brown from the practice of law in Florida based on accusations outlined in the affidavit of Carl Totaro, lead senior auditor for the Florida Bar, "which establishes clearly and convincingly that Marc Evan Brown has caused and is likely to cause immediate and serious harm to clients or the public."
