- The most obvious effect the storms could have is a rise in insurance-related challenges, but lawyers expect other practices to be affected.
- Government affairs practices are another target for some of that activity, as lawyers expect more laws meant to prevent fallout from hurricanes.
Florida's Gulf Coast is still dealing with the clean up after facing two major hurricanes within weeks of each other and attorneys from different practices are preparing for a surge of activity.
The two storms are estimated to cost billions in damage on top of the dozens of lives lost. The aftermath is widely expected to touch many legal practices throughout Florida. From tax to lobbying, the effect goes beyond the more obvious practices like insurance and homeowners association practices.
