There it is—the most valuable baseball of all time. The controversial memorabilia sold Tuesday night, free and clear of all legal entanglements that plagued the auction before the Oct 22 deadline.
And a small army of lawyers helped usher the deal for Los Angeles Dodger Shohei Ohtani's record-setter.
The ball's sales price: a record-shattering $4.3 million at auction, with the winning bid coming in just minutes before midnight, organizers said.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
