After ranking as Florida's fastest growing law firm last year, Sidley Austin wants to keep the momentum going as it brings in an M&A partner to help balance all its recent associate-level hires.

D.C.-based M&A and private equity partner Karen Dewis is moving from Sidley Austin's Washington, D.C. office to Miami, as the office seeks further growth in South Florida.
Dewis previously led the firm's D.C.-based M&A and private equity practice, where she advised Fortune 100 companies within the financial services, energy, real estate and technology sectors. She will continue being a part of that practice from Miami. With nearly 11 years at Sidley under her belt, Dewis is moving back to Florida, where she has existing roots.
