In a case brought by the Federal Trade Commission against a California Ecommerce company, the receiver announced activity targeting customers of a company they ordered to stand down.

Stephen Donnell, the court-appointed receiver, said in a statement released Friday that his office has been alerted to what appears to be a new round of solicitations targeting Ascend Cap Venture customers, which appear to be originating from "persons who are possibly located in the Philippines. These individuals assert that they work for the Ascend or related entities," the statement noted.
