The U.S. Senate confirmed federal magistrate judge Embry Kidd to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit on Monday to fill an emergency seat. However, there are four more emergency seats in Florida.
Kidd was confirmed on a 49-45 vote and he will be President Joe Biden’s second appointee to the federal appeals court that covers Alabama, Florida and Georgia.
