In a cautionary tale, the Supreme Court of Florida permanently disbarred a Miami attorney for issuing a false financial statement after defrauding his clients of $1 million.
Bob Jarvis, a law professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Law and a court expert not involved in the matter, said Jean Gerard Legagneur's punishment by the Florida Supreme Court was lenient given the charges against him.
