The Deal: The White & Case attorneys represented Brasil Telecom and its holding company, Brasil Telecom Participa??es, in the registration with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission of shares Brasil Telecom issued in the merger of the holding company into its subsidiary, and the listing of American depositary shares on the New York Stock Exchange. The transaction is part of a corporate reorganization that White & Case client Tele Norte Leste Participa??es is conducting with its interests in Brasil Telecom and its holding company, after acquiring them in January.
