As South Florida cements its reputation as a petri dish for public corruption, state attorneys are looking toward Tallahassee for some answers to stem the disease of greed among elected officials.
Miami City Commissioner Michelle Spence-Jones became the latest politician to fall earlier this month. She was charged with grand theft in funneling $50,000 in public funds to a family business. She denies the charge.
