Florida Estate Home Builders took on construction of a three-story, 11,300-square-foot showpiece mansion on tony Harborage Island in Fort Lauderdale.
The waterfront property featuring a home theater, a marble staircase, 110-foot water access, resort-style swimming pool and elevator was designed to impress – and fetch a hefty price. In November 2007, the home, still only three-quarters complete, was appraised at $12 million.
