As more condo associations struggle with delinquent fees, rising unit foreclosures and other financial troubles, some are weighing a drastic tactic: liquidation in bankruptcy court.

The association governing the 66-unit Boca Village has taken the plunge and filed for Chapter 7 liquidation. The filing came last week after the association lost a jury trial over an unpaid roofing contract.
