A lawyer who offered debt settlement services through a Coral Springs company has been suspended for 20 months after failing to communicate with thousands of clients, The Florida Bar said Thursday.
Jeffrey Scott Campos of Fort Lauderdale was the target of nine Bar complaints. He was accused of operating a law firm with a nonlawyer partner, using letterhead listing a fictitious New York office and failing to deposit client funds in a trust account as promised.
