A $145 million feud over allegedly substandard management of a five-star hotel and golf resort on Montego Bay has pitted pest control mogul R. Randall Rollins, a longtime Atlanta securities banker and the government of Jamaica against the Ritz-Carlton luxury hotel franchise.

The fight has spilled into federal court in Atlanta where U.S. District Judge Charles A. Pannell Jr. on Sept. 4 issued a temporary restraining order on behalf of Rose Hall Resort, an Atlanta limited partnership. Its principals include Rollins, chairman of the company that owns Orkin Pest Control, and Donald P. Carson, former president of Wachovia Capital Markets Inc. who went on to become an analyst for JP Morgan Securities. The government of Jamaica also holds an interest in the partnership.
