A Miami Beach country club has filed a bad-faith insurance claim against Lloyd’s of London for allegedly failing to pay a $4 million judgment for a botched golf course irrigation system at the exclusive La Gorce Country Club.

La Gorce filed the federal suit last week seeking payment from Lloyd’s and warned it would amend the complaint to seek punitive damages in two months unless the insurer pays.
