The State Board of Administration, which oversees Florida’s public pension funds, will hold a hearing next week to address allegations made in an anonymous letter sent to Attorney General Bill McCollum, one of the state officials involved in the selection of a new panel of plaintiff firms eligible to represent the funds in securities class actions.

The two-page letter to McCollum contained disturbing assertions about the firm that finished on top of the final rankings in Florida’s beauty contest: New York’s Bernstein Liebhard.
