A closely watched federal tax case involving the scope of the work-product doctrine has reached the U.S. Supreme Court.
Kannon Shanmugam of Washington’s Williams & Connolly has filed a petition for consideration on behalf of aerospace and defense contractor Textron, asking the justices to resolve a substantial circuit split over the interpretation of the work-product privilege in the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
