Miami-Dade County Court Judge Amy Karan, former administrative judge of the domestic violence division, has resigneddue to illness.
After notifying the Miami-Dade bench, Karan wrote a letter of resignation to Gov. Charlie Crist effective Jan. 31. He instructed the Judicial Nominating Commission to forward a list of finalists by April 9.
