The asbestos liability case filed by prominent Miami attorney Milton M. Ferrell Jr. shortly before his death in 2008 over his own illness went to a jury Wednesday in Miami-Dade Circuit Court.

Honeywell International attorneys argued Ferrell’s illness, mesothelioma, was not caused by the kind of asbestos in products made by its brake-manufacturing subsidiary, Bendix.
