The economy has hit Carlton Fields where it hurts the top dogs the most – in equity partners’ paychecks.

After two years of double-digit growth in profit to equity partners, the firm saw a 2 percent increase in 2009 to an average $746,000. Gross revenue, while still growing, also rose at a smaller pace of 6 percent to $154 million. Revenue per lawyer climbed 3 percent to $567,373.
