Miami attorney Robert Glazier argued Wednesday before the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of Italian cruise company Costa Crociere in a case, Krupski vs. Costa Crociere, that asked the court to define limits on changing defendants in amended complaints.

The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected Wanda Krupski’s request to substitute Costa Crociere as a defendant in her federal suit originally filed against Costa Cruise Lines, seeking damages for a broken hip suffered in 2007 when she claimed she tripped over a cable on a Costa cruise.
