Publix said the supermarket chain’s first-quarter net earnings increased 13.3 percent on a 2.1 percent increase in sales.
The Lakeland-based company posted net earnings of $364.4 million in the first three months of the year, or 47 cents a share, compared with $321.5 million, or 41 cents a share, for the same period in 2009.
