New Miami U.S. Attorney Wifredo Ferrer said the mosaic of crime in South Florida is complex and challenging, but his office is dedicated to enforcing justice in a “firm but fair manner.”

“I believe we have to prosecute the right cases without hesitation or favor,” he said. “We have to be very vigilant, and we have to ensure a fair process, that every defendant’s rights are protected.”
