With the completion of eight additional leases, 1450 Brickell office building developer Rilea Group has edged ahead of rival project Met 2 Financial Center.

One day after confirming that private equity firm H.I.G. Capital signed a lease to occupy 38,661 square feet, 1450 Brickell broker Blanca Commercial Real Estate announced seven more tenants that will join H.I.G. in the new tower. The eight leases would bring occupancy at 1450 Brickell to about 200,000 square feet, or 34 percent, of the 582,817-square-foot building. Met 2 has been stuck at about 30 percent for more than a year.
