From the latest financial disclosures, it’s clear chemical giant DuPont considers the book very nearly closed on liability suits over the company’s Benlate fungicide.

Starting in the early 1990s, plaintiff lawyers filed thousands of suits blaming the widely used fungicide for severe crop damage and other harm. Today, just 13 cases remain, all in Florida courts, DuPont stated in its annual report to investors.
