Tax data show that retail sales in South Florida surged recently, compared to the same period last year, and the positive momentum might continue through the rest of the year.
State sales tax receipts in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties jumped on a year-over-year basis by 18.6 percent in March and 14.2 percent in April.
