Broward Circuit Judge William Haury Jr. has denied an attempt by the Broward public defender’s office to seal electronic records in cases where mental health or drug use are discussed in open court.
Two rulings, one each for drug and mental health courts, were an attempt to put to rest concerns about confidentiality rules adopted earlier this year by the Florida Supreme Court.
