A former law partner of Scott Rothstein is trying to remove the lead counsel for Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler’s bankruptcy trustee based on an alleged conflict of interest.

Robert Buschel of Buschel Gibbons in Fort Lauderdale claimed in a disqualification motion filed Monday that Berger Singerman failed to disclose Scott Rothstein’s former brother-in-law is working at the law firm and received financial benefits from the former chairman of RRA. Buschel alleges Berger Singerman should have disclosed Reinaldo Leon’s employment as director of information technology at the law firm.
