Florida Supreme Court justices voiced skepticism Tuesday as a Miami-Dade County attorney asked the court to set aside a $2 million judgment and order a new trial in the wrongful death of a newborn baby at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The crux of the county’s argument: A retrial is justified because of an alleged process-serving error.
