Broad and Cassel partner Vivian de las Cuevas-Diaz is the new president-elect of the Cuban American Bar Association after entering the race late against an opponent who was seen as a shoo-in.

She defeated fellow CABA vice president Sandra Ferrera, a partner at Meland Russin & Budwick who spent most of 2010 cruising toward Tuesday night’s election uncontested.
