Banks may take an increasingly accommodative approach to certain consumers who have defaulted on a loan agreement for the first time.
“This segment of the market is much too large for banks to ignore. They have to think about how they’re going to address these customers,” said Atlanta-based Deron Weston, principal, U.S. banking and securities, of Deloitte Consulting LLP.
