Tired of waiting, Miami Gardens officials halted negotiations and sued Miami-Dade County for more than $20 million it claims the municipality is owed under a tax-funded transportation plan.
The lawsuit represents the latest blow to a program deemed by many as an overstated promise and labeled a “bait-and-switch” by critics.
