ATLANTA – Like the economy in general, things are not pretty in BigLaw land. Recently more than 700 legal jobs were eliminated in one single day. Associates are being smart-sized, staff are being shown the door, and even partners are being sent into early retirement. And it is expected to get worse before it gets better.
