Clary Fitzpatrick was spending so much in medical expenses for her 37-year-old bedridden daughter that Fitzpatrick fell two months behind on her rent.

At age 69 and retired, Fitzpatrick was raising four grandchildren, caring for her daughter and facing the prospect that all of them could soon be on the street. She went to Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida in Plantation.
