The parent company of the Miami Herald filed a lawsuit against the developer that planned to turn parking lots near the newspaper’s headquarters into a mini-Times Square, claiming he owes $7 million for failing to close on the deal for the property.
Sacramento, California-based McClatchy and affiliate Richwood filed suit against Mark Siffin last week to collect the termination fee after he failed to close on the $190 million land purchase by Jan. 31.
