Lisa Lehner has received two recent invitations to events for U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, who is up for re-election. The Miami attorney was asked to donate to his campaign. But at the moment, the activist and proud fundraiser for Democrats is very disappointed in Nelson.

Lehner, political chair of the Miami-Dade chapter of Florida Association for Women Lawyers, said the group lobbied Nelson hard to include more women on the Federal Judicial Nominating Commission. The commission, which is split into three district panels, interviews, evaluates and recommends attorneys to fill open positions for federal judges, U.S. attorneys and U.S. marshals.
