Tampa civil law attorney Gwynne Alice Young has been chosen president-elect of The Florida Bar, according to results released Monday by the Bar.

Young took 52 percent of the vote, winning 10,985-10,234 in a runoff with Fort Lauderdale personal injury litigator and former state Sen. Walter G. “Skip” Campbell Jr. of Krupnick Campbell Malone Roselli Buser Slama Hancock Liberman & McKee. It was the first contested race for The Bar’s top leadership post in a decade.
