The Florida Supreme Court has refused to withdraw its criticism of a former Bar investigating attorney for misleading comments during arguments in a disbarment case.
The conduct of former Bar attorney Lorraine Hoffmann was singled out in the Feb. 3 opinion ordering the disbarment of Miroslaw Lobasz. The high court claimed Hoffmann misled the court during oral arguments by claiming she had repeatedly objected at a previous hearing to Lobasz’s testimony about his mental health issues. A transcript showed she made no objections.
