Miami city commissioners on Thursday will consider rezoning four city blocks in the Brickell area to allow a planned 9-acre, mixed-use project being proposed by Swire Properties.
The city is a co-applicant in the rezoning of the Brickell CitiCentre site, seeking a Special Area Plan zoning designation. Commissioners will also consider a development agreement between the city and Hong Kong-based Swire Properties. The agreement would allow the developer to build the project in phases over at least 20 years without having to go back to the city for additional permits.
